A Dell Inspiron 1526 laptop with an AMD processor - when powered on, the laptop's fans spin up, the dvd drive reads, and the power led lights up. Also, the scroll lock, caps lock, and num lock are on, flashing, and flashing, respectively.
Dissasemble the system and completely remove the motherboard. Carefully flip over the motherboard once you have it free. Remove the CMOS battery and replace it with a new CR2032 battery.
That’s it.
